My Thoughts on Facebook

Almost everyone knows Facebook and it has reached 50 million users 2 times faster than the Internet. It may become the largest social networking site in the world. It can also be the largest collection of random popular videos, links social quizzes. It is amazing to see such great volumes of information in one site; mix of ideas, jokes, quotes and comments; a cauldron of creativity and self-inspired expressionism..Actually, the first time I heard about Facebook, I thought it was a catalog for plastic surgery patients.

There are a few mind boggling things about Facebook I don't really understand..

First of all, to ignore a post or request, we need to check who it was from and then, we click on the ignore button. Now, here's a question, why do we have to do so much to "ignore" something? Can't we just literally ignore it, but no, as it may annoy us every time we open the homepage.

"Facebook, the site where you
need to give a damn, to ignore something."

Secondly, I find it very amusing to ask for comments from a person about something. It forces them to reply something pretty amusing like "No Comment". I find it funny to type out "No Comment" and click on the "Comment" button. Don't you think its funny?

"Facebook, the chatroom of comments..."
-really, I think its the most reliable multi-participant chatroom-

Facebook amuses me. Besides these funny issues of nonsensical buttons and ways people use this site, are the funny games. Being a zoo tycoon or the owner of an airline company is just a few clicks away!

Not forgetting the way we use the comments application as a chatroom; I think Facebook would soon be the most effective group chatroom in the Internet. Other than that, they should have more features for posts such as "WTF", "OMG", "LOL" and "WTF SO RANDOM" buttons to ease users so they would not go through so much trouble to post it as a comment. E.g: "Phoon Chi Kit has reacted to your status with a "WTF, So Random!".
